The NZCB Conference and Expo 2026 offers a dynamic two-day programme designed to inspire, educate, and connect building professionals from across the country.

Learning & Technical Sessions
Our Learning & Technical  Sessions will bring builders, business owners, and industry leaders together in an interactive, discussion-driven format. Instead of one-way delivery, these sessions will feature member panels, group conversations, and shared insights that spark engagement and real connection.

Topics will range from emerging technologies and AI to business operations, HR, administration, and industry-specific technical issues. Each session is designed to give you fresh perspectives, peer-driven strategies, and ideas you can put into practice across your business and on site.

LBP Points Available
Conference attendance makes you eligible to collect LBP points. Points are allocated through the sessions you attend, with a certificate of attendance provided for each session. These certificates can be used to support your LBP submissions.

Eastern Terminal Integration Project at Auckland Airport
The Eastern Terminal Integration Project at Auckland Airport involves extensive and complex construction activities within a live operational environment. Key elements of the project include:
  • Demolition: Existing Eastern Baggage Hall, operational control centre, transitional waste facility and airside access security checkpoint.
  • Construction of the Eastern Baggage Hall – Ground Floor: Creating a new facility to enhance baggage handling capabilities.
  • Expansion of the Terminal – Level 1 & 2: Adding additional floors to increase terminal capacity.
  • Development of a Shell Structure: Level 1 - Security screening, airside dwell and domestic connections.  Level 2 – Extension of existing lounges.
  • Replacement of Power Centre 11 (PC11): Upgrading to new Power Centres PC68 and PC69, including a comprehensive Decarbonation Mechanical Plant.
The work is executed in a highly dynamic environment with ongoing airfield operations to the east, live baggage handling systems, and construction over an active truck dock. This scenario presents unique challenges and high-risk elements.
Hawkins is dedicated to ensuring the success of the Eastern Terminal Integration Project at Auckland Airport. Our focus on health, safety & wellbeing, innovative design problem-solving, and collaborative teamwork ensures that we effectively manage the complexities of this challenging environment. With a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within scope. Hawkins has a long-standing relationship with Auckland Airport where safety and wellbeing is paramount and delivery with success in this challenging environment.
PPE: You will require steel cap boots, long sleeves and trousers for this tour; you are welcome to bring your own hard hat (must have a strap), hi-vis and safety glasses, (although these will be supplied by NZCB) and gloves (optional).

Cabjaks
Cabjaks is excited to welcome members to a tour of their manufacturing, assembly and showroom facilities in Pakuranga, Auckland during the 2026 NZ Certified Builders Conference. Cabjaks is one of very few scale manufacturers in NZ producing kitchen, laundry and bathroom cabinets, as well as wardrobe solutions. Cabjaks is the only scale manufacturer producing fully assembled cabinets using a glue and dowel method in an automated press.
Our team welcomes the opportunity to showcase our operations and provide insights into cabinet production as well as tips and tricks for design and installation. The trip will have four key sessions, being "Board to Components” where our scale manufacturing is showcased alongside our bench top production. “Component to Customer” covers the assembly of components into finished cabinetry for dispatch nationwide. Our showroom team will cover "Design to Order” where NZCB members learn the ins and outs of design and planning and lastly “Installation to Satisfaction” where tips on installation of cabinetry and wardrobes will leave attendees feeling better informed and ready to take on their next joinery challenge.
No PPE gear required - ear plugs will be provided
